This Heat Shield is similar in design to the one Porsche used on the Tiptronic cars, but has been designed specifically for the Manual Transmission cars. Made of a robust .060" thick 5052 Aluminum, and with strategically placed bends, it is designed to reflect the heat from the exhaust back down and away from vulnerable components like the Heater Control Valve and Hall Sensor, as well as reduce temperatures under the hood.

The Aluminized Heat Barrier material is highly reflective and capable of withstanding radiant temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. The adhesive is rated up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Installation is very simple, taking about 3 minutes.
